Kayla & TJ were so lucky this year, and got to celebrate the 4th of July over the course of many weekends. They enjoyed their first Washington, NJ 4th of July Parade in our town. First, as we walked down the street on our way to meet friends for the parade, everyone kept commenting on how CUTE Kayla & TJ were...and that they should be in the parade!!! When the parade started, they got to see our babysitter/general helper/next door neighbor Jon, march by playing his drums in the High School Marching Band. We also saw lots of local Fireman, Police Officers, and other local groups. Unfortunately, it started POURING RAIN about 2 minutes after the parade started. Luckily, Daddy whipped out his ATM card and let the us and a bunch of other families into our bank ATM vestibule for a little shelter from the storm without losing sight of the parade.
We ended the day with a BBQ at Auntie Jess, Uncle Jason, and Penny's house, with many of our local friends. Twins Hannah & Abby were there with their parents, Alicia & Andy. We also met up with Twins Brock & Dylan at the parade, and they joined us at the BBQ with their parents Michele & Dan too! We laughed at one point...realizing that there were more Twins at the BBQ than single kids!
