Welcome to our new home in Washington, NJ! A nice house on a cul de sac, in a great little neighborhood, in a quiet rural town. A big change from where we are used to, but we love it here! The bonus is that we are only 1.5 miles from Jess & Jason, which means I am only about 3 minutes from seeing my smiling Goddaughter, Penny Lane, anytime I want to!!!
It was sad to leave our townhouse, even though we were definitely moving on to bigger and better! It's just tough to leave a home that is so "you" and move into what feels like someone else's home. We are working hard on making it our own...but it is taking a LOT of work! The house is great, just turned out to be a house that wasn't very well taken care of (illustrated by the vines that grew up our house, inside the siding, and were coming in through our vents...along with the pretty flowers/weeds that were growing out of our gutters). And since I'm supposed to be taking it easy, I can't work on it as much as I'd like. Luckily, we've had lots of help from my mom & dad...who are anxious to help! It works out well for all of us, especially since my mom is WAY more stressed out about my pregnancy than I am! It seems sometimes that she thinks I should just lay in bed 24 hours a day...which doesn't work so well for me. haha, I know, I know...she just loves me so much, and loves her little grandbabies already!
Hopefully we will be posting some before and afters of individual rooms as we get them done!
