Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2009 everyone! I don't think anyone can be happier that Smit & I that 2008 is over! While it brought us our 2 wonderful babies, it was certainly the toughest year we have ever had to endure. Here's to hoping that 09 is easier...

We rang in the New Year this year with a party at our house. Smit and I decided that the best way to avoid sitting at home alone this year would be to invite all of our friends with babies over for a "child friendly" New Year's Eve party. We had a great turnout, and ended up with 12 adults and 7 kids! It was nuts, but believe it or not, all babies (except 1) were in bed by 9:30pm, and it was an adult party from then on! We had a yummy dinner, champagne at midnight, a big sleepover, and a big breakfast the next morning.

Kayla with her friend, Amelie. Amelie just moved back to the United States with her parents, Rachel & Jeremy. We are SO happy to have them back and to see them for the first time in years!
