New Schedules

So, now the babies are almost 5 months old (or 3 months corrected). Our new "project" is getting them on the same napping schedule, and getting them up to their cribs for their naps. Studies show that babies who take good naps are better sleepers at night...and we all want good nighttime sleepers!!! haha. Kayla is a champion napper...TJ is getting used to it. He really would like to stay downstairs and play all day, and just take little "catnaps" here and there. But that doesn't give Mommy much of a break, so we like 2 long naps instead!
Here is the current schedule in the Hayward household:

7am-7:30am: Twins wake up & have playtime

8am: Kayla eats her cereal while TJ continues to play.

8:15am: Both Twins have their morning bottle.

8:30-9am: Morning nap starts, almost exactly 1 1/2 hours after wake-up for Kayla, maybe 2 hours after wake-up for TJ. They will sleep for about 2 hours.

11-11:30am: Twins wake up and play.

12-12:30pm: Lunchtime. Both Twins have a bottle, followed by more playtime with Mommy.

1:30-2pm: Afternoon nap. About 2 hours after they wake up from AM nap, it's time for PM nap! They will sleep for about 2 hours each again. Kayla will sometimes surprise us with a 3 or 4 hour nap. TJ always wakes up right on schedule...if not an hour too early!!! He's like his Dad...he needs constant stimulation or he's bored in a millisecond!

3:30-4pm: Twins wake up and have a bottle. Kayla has her cereal first.

4:30-6pm: Twin playtime. This playtime is mostly with Daddy while Mommy prepares dinner.

6pm-7pm: Kayla & TJ will take a little "evening" nap about this time. This nap is not in their cribs, just in their seats or on the floor, or wherever they happen to fall asleep!

7:30pm: bathtime starts! The Twins know their night schedule of "bath, bottle, bed" very well. They start to fuss as soon as they get out of their bath because they know their bottle is coming!

8:30pm-9pm: Twins go to sleep for the night!

Here are a few recent pics of the babies. Enjoy!!!
