We'll start with the 9 month Photo shoot...
Man...this photo shoot thing is getting tougher and tougher. Yes...you do see them pulling the letters off of the sign now. Crazy babies.
We now have babies with teeth! TJ beat his sister out by 1 week and got his first tooth on May 13th. Kayla followed up with her first tooth on May 20th. And today...on May 29th, TJ got his second tooth! Kayla still hasn't cut her 2nd tooth, but it is SO right there...they were totally competing for top billing on the 2nd one!
I have been trying like crazy to get a picture of these teeth...but it is again, not an easy task! So here's the best I could do:

Kayla is now 29 inches tall (90th percentile), weighs 18 lbs 10 oz (50th percentile), and her head diameter is 45cm (75th percentile). Doctor says she is great. He was very pleased with her, as always. She is measuring perfectly, as she should be, on the 9 month scale.
TJ is now 27 3/4" tall (25th percentile), weighs 16 lbs 5 oz (3rd percentile), and his head diameter is also 45cm (45th percentile). Yippee, Yippee! Our little Guy FINALLY made the chart, for the first time! As you know, Tyler's height and weight have always been below the 3rd percentile. This is the first time he found a place on the chart. We are very proud of him. The Doctor was thrilled with his progress, as usual. We are going to take him for a cranial ultrasound though, just to make sure everything is ok. His head has seen some major growth in the last 6 weeks, and the doctor says that rapid head growth can be a bad sign. So we're having the ultrasound, just to be safe.
All else is good at the Hayward Household though. Babies are starting to LOVE playing together. They started eating meats this week, and also started some finger foods. Just little things like puffs...but it's a start! We are also working on the introduction of the sippy cup too. They LOVE drinking water out of a regular cup though. Ha...they think they are SO cool. They are also rolling all over the floor, so I know have to vaccuum every day. They are also both getting up on their hands and knees and rocking. They want SO BADLY to go somewhere, but they still haven't figured out how to do it. Kayla is still sitting like a champ, and TJ can "tripod" sit (with his hands on the floor) for a minute or so at a time. The physical therapist says this is normal, and he'll figure it out in his own time. We are working hard to strengthen his neck and upper body, so he is doing great so far.

I DO see those teeth! Where has the time gone. 9 months already? They are STILL the cutest babies. And now they really look alike. Love you little kiddies!!!!!
They are getting so big! And Kayla looks a lot like you :) I hope we'll get to see you soon. xoxo
