Finally, we baptized Kayla & TJ yesterday. It took a while, but we finally worked it out. Due to the RSV threat over the winter, we weren't supposed to expose the babies to any large gatherings or public places, so we opted to wait until they were a little bigger and the flu/rsv seasons were long gone.
It was a nice day. We kept it strictly family...and close family at that. Just Aunts, Uncles, Cousins...and of course with my family that meant 60 people!
Kayla & TJ behaved beautifully during the ceremony. TJ blew raspberries at our Minister the entire time he was talking. Kayla started the ceremony out with the hiccups, but quickly moved on to trying to grab the paper John was reading from and rip my necklace off of my neck.
The Twins had a great time getting to know their family, especially all of the kids. Kayla LOVED sitting on the laps of her cousins Kayleigh, Emily, Emma & Deena.
She definitely loves the older girls!
So...now for the big "boo boo" of the day. I somehow managed to get through the entire day without ONE picture of the Twins with their Godparents (Jess & Jason), or their Grandparents. I don't know how I missed it...I guess I was just running around making sure that everything went ok and that everyone got to visit with the babies, and somehow I forgot to take pictures. I wish I could rewind the day and do it over, but I don't think that's possible. Hmmm...maybe I can get everyone to dress up exactly as they were dressed yesterday and come over for some pretend baptism pictures?
So anyway...here's a few of what I got...
Kayla & Grandpa
The four of us...which is usually a tough one to get!
Thanks to everyone who attended for making it such a special day for all of us!
