They are great, and getting so big! There have been so many changes that it's getting more and more difficult to find time to blog these days! Here are our updates:
Kayla:
Kayla is currently weighing in at 15 lbs 8 oz, and is 26 inches long. She is in the 75th percentile for her height, and 50th for her weight. The doctor was very happy with her size and her progress. She is eating cereal, veggies and fruit. She gets a few tablespoons of oatmeal and a fruit for breakfast (so far, she's not so sure if she likes fruit), and a few tablespoons of barley with some veggie for dinner (currently, her favorites are peas & squash). Kayla does have some exema this winter, but it doesn't seem to bother her. We just use lots of lotion!
Kayla likes to sit up (assisted, of course), her musical purse toy, and borrowing her brother's toolbox toy.
She is a VERY good sleeper, and currently sleeps 11-12 hours at night (7:30pm - 6:30/7:30am) followed by two 2 hour naps and a 30 minute nap every day. We call her our "tough crowd" because although she loves to smile, it's not so easy to get her to giggle...although she seems to be giggling more often every day. Kayla has also become a thumb-sucker recently, and can always be found sucking away when she is tired and ready to go to sleep.
The best new news is that Kayla has rolled over! It still isn't completely consistent, but about 60% of the time that she is on her belly, she will roll onto her back. I have a video of it...but I will most certainly crash this blogpost if I try to put it up!
Tyler:
TJ currently weighs 13 lbs. 11 oz, and is 24 1/2" long! He is in the 3rd percentile for height and weight...and this was the first time he made the size chart. The doctor says that he is THRILLED with his progress, and thinks he might even be caught up by the time he is a year old. He says that they are still only 4 months corrected age, and for his corrected age he is exactly where he should be in size and development. He still needs a helmet, and is going for his consultation this week.
TJ is eating cereal for 2 meals a day, and is getting ready to add some veggies! His favorite games are played with people, as TJ is definitely a people-person. He laughs at everyone, and is always smiling. He likes to tease Daddy by laying next to him and kicking him when he's not looking, and then laughing when Daddy looks at him. He is also very ticklish! He is pulling on and holding toys, and puts EVERYTHING in his mouth.
TJ is also a good sleeper. He sleeps his 12 hours a night, and takes at least three 1 hour naps a day. Lately, he has even turned 2 of those naps into 2 hour naps!
We have also been getting out more, and enjoying some playdates with other twins & twin moms. It has been a lot of fun to see the babies interact with other twins!
Kayla & TJ are wonderful, and amaze us everyday. They rarely cry, and are a joy to everyone they come in contact with. We are definitely two very lucky parents!

WOW, I know I see these babies everyday, but I'm still so amazed how big they are getting. I still feel like they are our little baby beans...but they're not! They are our big babies! Give them a big kiss from Auntie (even though I'm sure I'll see them later to kiss them myself!)
So proud of the wonderful job you're both doing with them, but then, I knew you and Smitty would be terrific parents. Hope to meet them someday soon, in person. Love you all - Aunt Paul
