Kayla's First Week Home

Well, we made it! Today, Kayla has officially been home for a whole week. She has been enjoying so many new things and experiences that she didn't get to do in the NICU. She is having a little trouble confusing her days and nights (she sleeps soundly all day, and stays up all night) but last night we had a solid 4 hours of sleep, so it seems that we are turning things around!

Her first trip to the Doctor. Kayla found out she was 5 lbs 11 oz, up 5 oz from her hospital weight 3 days earlier. What a little piggy!



A visit from Grandma A...so much fun!

She didn't even have the energy to clean up after herself. Good thing her cousin Penny was around to show her how it's done!



Kayla's first walk with Mom, Dad & Auntie. Cousin Penny was nice enough to sit up front (since TJ isn't home yet) and show Kayla the way!

And speaking of Grandma's help...she was here all week! Changing diapers, assisting with baths, feedings & everything! Grandma even took a night shift and allowed Mommy & Daddy a solid night of sleep. Grandma says that is no problem...that this is the best time of her life. She even came out of her room after her long night awake with Kayla and said "we had a great time!" Now if that aint true love...
