Last night's visit to see our babies brought new developments as always! Kayla is now on a 4 hour feeding schedule (instead of every 3 hours) and handling her new 50ml feedings very well! They have completely removed her feeding tube, because she can handle full bottle feedings all the time now. She did have a little setback yesterday, as they tried to take her from her isolette and put her in a regular crib. Unfortunately, her body temperature decreased a little too much, and they decided to put her back in her isolette. Although they haven't regulated her temp for her in a long time, I guess the isolette provides a warmer environment for her. So, she might not come home as soon as we thought, but they will keep trying! This is her first real set-back, so we'll let her slide this time. I think she secretly just doesn't want to leave her brother there without her!
TJ is still doing great. He is up to 21 mls per feeding, and digesting it all! He had a bath with Mommy last night, and was wide awake and happy throughout the whole thing! TJ was even rooting a bit when Mommy was holding him afterwards, which is a good sign that he might be ready to eat by mouth soon! One step at a time though...one step at a time!
The highlight of our night was that TJ and Kayla finally got to lay and rest together, for the first time since being inside Mommy's belly! Well, Kayla continued her nap (she was so tired from drinking that 50 ml bottle!)...TJ was too excited to be next to his sister again to sleep!

They are sooo beautiful! I can hardly keep up with how fast they are growing! They are both so lucky to have such great parents!
