So the last week has been - how do you say - CRAZY!!! It feels like they were born yesterday, but it's actually been a whole week. Both Kayla and TJ are doing great in the NICU. They're both still in their little incubators to help them regulate their temperature and they've each spent their fair share of time under the UV lights for some slight jaundice. Kayla, being the little piggy that she is, is now eating half an ounce per feeding and is now taking some of her meals by BOTTLE!!! TJ is still on his feeding tube exclusively, but has gone up significantly in the amount he's eating. After the expected initial loss of weight, both of the twins are gaining and are nearing their birth-weight.
Kel is currently at her parents' house finishing up her recovery, counting the days until she can come home.
I'm working at light-speed to get the house prepared for the first of 3 home comings.

So glad to hear that Kel is doing so well at Mom's and that the twins are thriving in the NICU. But I do think that I'm going to be hearing this word "crazy" in many future posts too. So I'm officially suggesting a new name for the busy days ahead - "TWAZY" as in "TWIN" + crazy.
